With an array formula it's possible to perform several calculations and return either one single result or multiple results to several target cells. Array formulas works with two or more sets of values called array arguments. All array arguments must have the same number of rows and columns.
You can create an array formula like this:

  1. Select the cell or the range in which you want to enter the array formula.
  2. Enter the formula like any other worksheet formula (without the brackets).
  3. Press Ctrl+Shift+Enter to update the array formula.
The array formula is now visible in the formula bar within two brackets.
